Ava at Six

- Ava is such a joy to parent.
- She is very thoughtful and kind.
- She is a rule follower and loves to please us.
- She is always up for a snuggle.  As soon as she wakes up, she runs to get in bed with us.  That is usually on the weekends these days.
- Most school days, I have to drag her out of bed.
- She loves to watch movies.
- She has been pretty neutral about kindergarten.  She isn't excited to go, but does not complain.  Her choice would be to stay home and play.
- She still wants to be a Veterinarian when she grows up.
- She loves animals of any kind.
- Ava asks lots of questions.
- She really wants to be a part of conversations that we are having without her.
- She can be dramatic.
- She is just so silly.  She loves to laugh and dance and make funny faces.
- She has a funny little jig that she does when she is dancing.
- She has a funny personality, but will get shy when we walk into a room of strangers.
- She is very social.  She likes to know who I am talking to on the phone and what we talked about.
- She is very good at picking out outfits and likes to be dressed appropriately for where she is going.
- One of her favorite things is one on one date with me or Clint.
- She loves her grandparents!
- She likes to reminisce about trips or events.
- She likes to look at photos.
- She enjoys jumping on her trampoline.
- She likes to help Clint in the yard.
- She spends the most time play with little figurines.....Littlest Pet Shop, Shopkins, Palace Pets.
- She still has to sleep with her white blankie, pink blankie and bunny.
- She wants everything in her bed a certain way......her in middle, pillows in certain order surrounding her and animals with her.
- She has become quite the little reader in Kindergarten.  I can't believe how much she is reading.  I am so proud of her.
- Ava does lots of art at home.  She is often sitting at the bar drawing, coloring or painting.
- She loves for us to read her Junie B Jones books every night.  She never chooses anything else.  We read one to two chapters, plus her devotional and half the nights, she reads a kindergarten reader from school to us.
- She wants me to sing Amazing Grace every night......this has been consistent for the last two years.
- Recently Ava was looking at a cross I have and said to it, "Jesus, I just wish you didn't have to die.  I wish there was another way we could have gone to Heaven without you having to die."
- Ava will say, "Mom, you are the best mom in the whole world.".....it makes my heart so happy.  She says that her daddy is the best daddy too!
- Ava told me that she wants to live in our house forever.  She wants to live with us when she grows up.  She did say that if her husband doesn't want to live with us, she will live thirty minutes away in Austin.  Sounds good to me!

Being a mommy to Ava and Olivia has been the joy of my life.   They are the sweetest little girls and the sunshine of my day.
